 I am so happy the trend is moving to children starting kindergarten later. I have never heard a parent say "I wish I had started my child in kindergarten earlier" but I have heard countless parents day. "If only I had given my child the extra year." Most of the time the effects of starting school early only manifest in late elementary school and into middle school and by that time the damage has been done.
